Protective, anti-graffiti treatment ideal for the protection of external cladding and facades in natural stone, marble, granite statues and surfaces from graffiti, spray paints and felt pens. STRIP VAPOR thanks to its special water based microcrystalline based formulation, protects the surface creating a micro invisible barrier (allowing material to breath) avoiding eventual paint build ups penetrating in material. STRIP VAPOR is a sacrificial treatment and will need to be reapplied every time graffiti is removed from surface, either by high pressured water or by a mechanical action with Ultrastripper.
Method of use :
Surface preparation: surface must be dry and clean; possibly stains, mildew, crusting must be taken away, otherwise they will be encapsulated and protected by the resin films and their subsequent removal would be difficult. Application: by cloth, brush, roller or spray. Apply STRIP VAPOR on the surface to be treated, taking care to apply it evenly. For a good impregnation it is recommended to apply 2 coats. Once applied, STRIP VAPOR gives a light satin effect to the surface; in case a more shiny effected is desired, it is necessary to gently rub the surface with a cloth. The anti-graffiti will start its function after about 12 hours (curing time). Removal: in the case treated surfaces are stained by graffiti and written with spray or liquid paints, it is possible to remove the writings with steam or hot water jets in order to melt the protective and consequently remove the paint. Alternatively, it is possible to apply mechanical action using abrasive pads such as Scotch Brite ® or brushes. If the paint is not entirely removed, we suggest to use our Paint Stripper WALL CLEAN. After removal, it is necessary to repeat the application of STRIP VAPOR to continue the protection.
Coverage:
For protection of marble and granite polished or grinded after grid 800, with 1 liter (1 quart) of product is possible to treat 10/15 sqm (110/160 sq.ft.) In case of calcareous stone, limestone, sand stone, concrete polished or grinded after grid 800 with 1 litre of product, it is possible to treat 5/10 sqm ( 50/110 sq.ft.).
