TILELASTIC THIXO is a high-performance, two-component epoxy adhesive specifically formulated for the installation of stone, ceramic, and mosaic tiles. It offers excellent adhesion, low odour, and a smooth consistency that makes it easy to apply, even on vertical surfaces. TILELASTIC THIXO allows for precise tile positioning and bonding already after 24 hours. Its exceptional mechanical strength., moisture and chemical resistance make it particularly suitable for damp environments exposed to moisture such as bathrooms, showers, spas, and swimming pools
Method of use :
ALWAYS TEST PRODUCT FIRST following below indications, before proceeding with complete product application. Ensure that surfaces to be treated are completely dry and clean, free of dirt, dust, grime and surface incrustations. Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be level, compact, and free of loose particles, dust, oils, and rising humidity or moisture. The surface must also be mechanically resistant and clean to ensure optimal adhesion. Product Preparation: Pour the entire contents of Part B (hardener) into the container of Part A (resin). Mix thoroughly using a low-speed electric mixer (max. 1 minute) equipped with a spiral mixing paddle until a uniform, homogeneous mixture is obtained. Use a spatula to scrape the sides and bottom of the container to ensure complete mixing. Mix again for an additional 40 seconds at 20°C. Apply the mixture immediately. Application: Apply TILELASTIC THIXO using a notched trowel appropriate for the size and type of tile. First, spread a thin coat using the smooth edge of the trowel, pressing the adhesive firmly into the substrate. Then apply the adhesive with the notched side to create even ridges. Each tile must be carefully pressed into place to ensure full contact and optimal adhesion. For large-format tiles or particularly demanding applications, apply adhesive also to back side of tile.
