IMPREPOX 1000

Extremely fluid two-component epoxy system used mainly in the stone processing sector to restore surfaces and consolidate natural stones, porous concrete and cement works presenting cracks and fissures, as well as to back-reinforce natural stone slabs prone to breakage. IMPREPOX1000 is a thermosetting product with very low viscosity based on epoxy resin and specific hardener, cross-linking at room temperature, designed for the production of tough and chemically resistant protective coatings, high solid content, super transparent and VOC-free. Particularly suitable for sealing microcracks and capillaries, IMPREPOX1000 offers hardness and flexibility, improved chemical and solvent resistance, exceptional adhesion and brilliance after polishing. Its improved formula makes it even more transparent and non-yellowing. It is the ideal product for filling and sealing imperfections on very light marbles and granites. It can be used both locally on cracks and for the complete skim-coating of floors or slabs.

Method of use :
The parts to be bonded or filled must be clean, completely dry and free of dust; if possible, roughen them slightly. Mix thoroughly the two dosed components, in the ratio (by weight) of 4 : 1 (A : B), using small quantities of product in order to avoid waste from too fast curing (mass effect). For a good job, usually 250-300 grams (8-11 oz per mixing) at a time are sufficient per single catalysis. The mix has a workable time of 20/30 minutes at 20°C/68°F, the time will be longer at lower rooms temperature and shorter at higher room temperature. Grinding can be done after 24 hours at room temperature (20°C/68°F).
